Hood Warfare 2 Controls and Settings

Patch 1.0.10 confirms voice chat and the default T push-to-talk key. Recent menu footage exposes additional keyboard, mouse, controller, audio, and graphics fields, but user-specific values are not mislabeled as factory defaults or performance recommendations.

Separate official defaults from recorded menu values

The official record confirms one default input: patch 1.0.10 says push-to-talk is on by default and activated by pressing T. It also confirms that players can choose open mic and speak to the whole lobby or only their team.

An October 13 settings video shows many more controls, bindings, sliders, and graphics options. That is valuable menu evidence, but the recording does not prove every value is a factory default. This page labels the evidence accordingly.

Keyboard and mouse controls visible in recorded settings

The following bindings are readable in the October 13 Controls tab. They are useful for locating actions and understanding the menu structure. They are not presented as guaranteed factory defaults because the recording does not document a reset immediately before capture.

How to change a keybind

The recorded Controls screen includes an instruction under Keyboard & Mouse: click a key box, then press the key or mouse button you want to use; right-click a box to clear it. That supports a concise rebinding flow for the recorded menu.

  1. 01

    Open Settings, then Controls

The options screen shows Graphics, Controls, and Audio tabs across the top.

  2. 02

    Scroll to the action

Keyboard & Mouse is organized into sections such as movement and combat. The captured menu also contains gamepad entries farther down.

  3. 03

    Click the binding box

Choose the primary or secondary box for the action you want to change.

  4. 04

    Press the replacement input

Use the keyboard key or mouse button you want assigned. Check the displayed label before leaving the page.

  5. 05

    Right-click to clear when needed

The recorded instruction says right-clicking a box clears it. Avoid clearing a required action unless you immediately assign a replacement.

  6. 06

Test one change at a time

Enter a bot or low-pressure match and verify the action before changing the next input.

Voice chat, push-to-talk, and microphone mode

Voice chat is present. Patch 1.0.10 says players can speak to the whole lobby or only their team. It names push-to-talk as the default microphone mode, using T, and says open mic is available in settings.

The October 13 Audio tab visibly includes Voice Chat, Voice Chat Channel, Voice Chat Volume, Microphone, Mic Mode, Mic Volume, and Open Mic Threshold. The captured user has Voice Chat set to On, the channel set to All, and Mic Mode set to Push to Talk. Those selected values are evidence that the fields exist; only the official patch establishes the default T claim.

Audio output device and volume controls

Patch 1.0.1.4 says the no-audio issue was fixed and directs players to settings to select an audio output device. The exact post-patch field label is not visible in the October 13 recording, so this page does not invent a dropdown name or position.

The earlier Audio tab does visibly contain Master Volume, Music Volume, Voice Line Volume, Ambient Volume, and UI Volume. The numbers shown in the recording are one user’s configuration, not defaults. If sound is missing, select the output device first, then check whether one category or every category is silent.

The October 13 menu recording shows volume categories, voice chat, channel, microphone, mic mode, mic volume, and open-mic threshold. It predates the 1.0.1.4 output-device fix.

Mouse and controller options

The recorded Controls tab shows Mouse Sensitivity, Zoom Sensitivity, vertical and horizontal inversion, Toggle Aim, Toggle Aim for the sniper scope, Controller Sensitivity, Controller ADS Sensitivity, and Controller Vibration. The Steam store separately lists full controller support.

Recorded gamepad bindings include Jump on A, Crouch on B, Sprint on L3, Fire on RT, Aim Down Sights on LT, Reload on X, and Melee on R3. As with the keyboard table, these are visible bindings from one capture—not certified defaults.

No controlled sensitivity study has been run. A useful test is to record the current value, change one mouse or controller setting, practice the same turn/aim task, and revert if the change makes control less predictable. That method avoids presenting one creator’s values as universal.

Graphics options visible in the menu

The October 13 Graphics tab shows display mode, resolution, monitor, field of view, FPS display, frame limit, HDR, VSync, motion blur, overall quality, resolution scale, textures, effects, anti-aliasing, anti-aliasing method, post processing, shadows, shading, reflections, view distance, and foliage.

The captured values were chosen by the video creator and vary with hardware, monitor, resolution, and preference. They are not copied as a “best settings” preset.

Test settings without losing track of the result

  1. 01

    Record the starting value

Take a note or screenshot before changing a binding, sensitivity, audio, or graphics option.

  2. 02

    Change one variable

Multiple simultaneous changes make it difficult to identify which option helped or caused a problem.

  3. 03

    Repeat the same test

Use the same bot match, route, aim movement, audio event, resolution, and FPS display where possible.

  4. 04

    Judge the actual result

Look for stable input, visible frame pacing, readable targets, or restored audio. Do not infer a numeric performance gain without measurement.

  5. 05

    Keep or revert

Retain the change only when it improves the task you tested. Restore the recorded value otherwise.

Hood Warfare 2 controls and settings FAQ

Does Hood Warfare 2 have voice chat?

Yes. Patch 1.0.10 added voice chat for the whole lobby or only the team. The same announcement says push-to-talk is on by default and uses T, with open mic available in settings.

What is the default push-to-talk key?

T is the only keyboard default explicitly confirmed in the official patch notes reviewed for this page.

Are all keybinds in the table confirmed factory defaults?

No. The larger table transcribes bindings visible in an October 13 recording. The footage does not prove the user had never changed them, so they are labeled recorded bindings rather than defaults.

How do I fix no audio?

Patch 1.0.1.4 tells players to open settings and select an audio output device. Confirm the selected device matches your active headset, speakers, or interface, then retest menu and match audio.

What are the best graphics or sensitivity settings?

This wiki has not run controlled FPS, latency, visibility, or aim testing across hardware. It documents visible options and a repeatable test method instead of claiming universal best values.
